In Italy, since 1971, there have been no more special classes, and students with disabilities attend school alongside their peers, but today, inclusion is not enough. Students with disabilities need to be active participants in the learning and skills that each one can acquire. For this, personalized programs are needed, but above all, specialized teachers who can recognize each student’s talent and enhance it. It is important to find the methods, spaces, and language that make learning always active and ensure that teaching fosters the participation of everyone.

In Italia dal 1971 non esistono più le classi differenziali e gli alunni con disabilità frequentano le scuole insieme ai loro coetanei, ma ad oggi includere non basta. Gli studenti con disabilità hanno bisogno di sentirsi protagonisti attivi degli apprendimenti e delle competenze che ciascuno di loro può acquisire. Per questo, servono programmi personalizzati, ma soprattutto insegnanti specializzati che sappiamo cogliere in ciascun alunno il suo talento e valorizzarlo.
