Down Syndrome Austria has a president and a vice president with Down Syndrome. These two persons regularly take part in important events, where they have the possibility to talk for instance to politicians and to make demands. But they also are involved in the procedure of the Austrian Down Syndrome Congress in Salzburg, which is organized by DSÖ every 3 years. On the foto you can see our president, Michael, and his collegue Beatrice moderating the opening ceremony of the congress. Michael and Beatrice did this on their own, and it was a great pleasure to see them presenting the whole ceremony.
Down Syndrom Österreich hat einen Präsidenten und eine Vizepräsidentin mit Down Syndrom. Beide werden regelmäßig zu Terminen eingeladen, wo sie beispielsweise mit Politikern sprechen und ihre Forderungen einbringen können. Sie sind aber auch in den Ablauf des Österreichischen Down Syndrom Kongresses involviert, den DSÖ alle drei Jahre organisiert. Auf dem Foto sieht man Michael und Beatrice, wie sie die Eröffnungszeremonie des Kongresses moderieren. Michael und Beatrice haben den Abend alleine moderiert, und es war großartig zu sehen, wie sie gekonnt durch den Abend geführt haben.
