EUROPEAN DOWN SYNDROME ASSOCIATION

21 March is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. The motto of this year’s event is: Leave no one behind!
EDSA has asked their members to show people with Down syndrome taking part in activities together with others. Starting on 1 March, we show 21 examples from across Europe to make it clear that no one should be left behind!

Leave no one behind
This is Levon. When the weather is nice, he likes to jump on the big trampoline in the garden. Since recently he can also ride a balance bike which he likes very much and where he also dares to go faster and faster. He often likes to help with covering the table or clearing. He also likes to watch videos on his iPad and dances and sings along. Levon is not talking yet. An inclusive society with opportunities to participate is also important to him, leave no one behind.

Niemand achterlaten
