This year’s EDSA annual meeting will take place in Lisbon, Portugal from 25 to 27 October. We will meet in the premises of our member association PAIS 21, Rua do Arco do Marquês de Alegrete n°6, 3B in Lisboa.
About 34 representatives of EDSA member organisations from 22 different countries have announced their attendance.
The board meeting will take place on Friday morning and the first part of the AGA in the afternoon. The second part of the AGA follows on Sunday.
Saturday 28 October Seminar: Sport and Down-Syndrome
On Saturday the seminar: ”Sport and Down syndrome“ will take place with contributions from different countries.
There will be an evaluation of the sports survey that was carried out among the EDSA members. Medical aspects in connection with sports activities will be pointed out.
Members will present sports programmes, sports projects, sports achievements etc. An EU inclusive sport project will also be presented. The question of how inclusive sport can be organised and what Special Olympics and Para Olympics mean for people with DS will be discussed.
