Joeanna Xerri has been elected to the EDF Board of Directors for the 2026–2030 mandate. Her election brings a strong and important voice for people with Down syndrome to one of Europe’s leading disability rights organisations. Through her commitment, lived experience, and advocacy, Joeanna will help strengthen inclusive representation and ensure that the perspectives of people with Down syndrome continue to be heard at the European level.

At the same time, Pat Clarke has been elected to the EDF Finance Committee. After years of dedicated service and advocacy on behalf of EDSA at EDF, Pat will continue contributing his experience and leadership in this important new role.

These elections represent a significant step forward for the Down syndrome community in Europe and reinforce EDSA’s commitment to inclusion, participation, and equal rights for all.

EDSA would also like to sincerely thank all the European NGOs and partners who supported Joeanna, Pat, and EDSA throughout this journey. Their trust, encouragement, and collaboration played an important role in reaching this achievement.

Finally, congratulations to all the newly elected Board and committee members. EDSA looks forward to continuing to work together towards a more inclusive Europe for everyone.
